Case Study - Enterprise Technology Solution Provider

A leading Enterprise Technology Solution Provider, in the United States, specializing in enterprise and state & local government technology solutions including: Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Network Architecture and Network Services.

The Company built their legacy billing operations around NetSuite.  This solution was not able to capture subscription and metered billing data required to meet reporting compliance with state and local government contracts.  Additional complexities included taxation and exemption automation to support tax compliancy and reporting.

The Company needed to quickly comply with strict invoice and reporting formats to comply with customer contract requirements. BluLogix was able customize invoice templates and reports reflecting data captured from the carrier call detail records mediated with data captured from the Customer soft-switch, Cisco HCS.

NetSuite Integration

Most of the Companies operational processes were being managed through NetSuite.  BluLogix’ approach was to integrate into NetSuite to synchronize invoice and payment data in support of accounting functions.  Leveraging BluLogix REST API this integration allowed for real-time synchronization of invoice and payment details between BluLogix and NetSuite.

Taxation Integration

To ensure tax compliancy, the Company required integration into CCH SureTax, a leading tax engine.  BluLogix “out-of-the-box” integration enabled automation of tax calculation and management of taxes within BluLogix.  This ensured taxes were correctly categorized and displayed on customer invoices for collection and reporting.

Role Based User Access

The Company required multiple levels of access based on their role within the platform.  These roles included; sales, billing, product management and accounting.  Defining access around these roles ensured integrity within the process, product and financial functions of the system.

With BluLogix the Company could establish a platform foundation to scale requirements for billing and reporting.  The Company could significantly lower cost of operations by automating what had done manually in the past while, in turn, reducing costly and time consuming billing and reporting errors.
